Kawasaki Motors India has launched the updated Z650. The Z650 now offers a BS6 complied engine which earlier we saw on the BS6 Kawasaki Ninja 650. Z650 is launched at ₹ 5.94 lakh which makes it ₹ 25,000 more than its BS4 counterpart. Considering the Global Pandemic situation bookings can be made via Kawasaki Dealership or through Kawasaki India's official website.
The update Z659 features new LED headlamps and a 4.3-inch full TFT instrument console which we already saw on Ninja 650. Other than that Z650 has got sharper looks which Kawasaki calls as a 'Sugomi' design. The tyres are also upgraded for better grip on the roads, Z650 now features Dunlop Sportmax Roadster 2 tyres.
BS6 Kawasaki Z650 is powered by the same 649 cc Parallel-Twin engine which was available on BS4 models. However to make the Z650 BS6 complied the torque output of the motorcycle is dropped by 1.7 Nm and the bike now produces 64 Nm of torque while the power output remains the same at 68 bhp.
Kawasaki Z650 weights 191 Kg which makes it 5 Kg lighter than is fully faired twin Ninja 650. Z650 will now compete with no bike as there is no BS6 complied bike in this segment other than Ninja 650.
