The Facelifted Nissan Kicks E-Power officially revealed before its Thailand launch. This Nissan Kicks is a facelifted version of Nissan Kicks BS6 which will be sold in the Indian market soon. As the pictures say, facelifted Nissan Kicks looks more cleaner and up-class than the pre facelifted version, India spec variant will not have the cosmetic upgrades and will continue with the older design.
We can clearly see that the updated Nissan Kicks bears a new bumper, sleeker headlamps, larger grille and new fog lamp housing. The updated V-motion grille forms an X-shape with a lower grille. The rear looks more or the less same, with only a few changes on the rear bumper.
On the inside, Nissan Kicks gets a new gear lever for the automatic transmission, electronic parking brake and a new start/stop button. On the other hand, the steering wheel, semi-digital panel and the dashboard remain the same.
With the updated version of Nissan Kicks, Nissan offers e-Power Technology with it. You can differentiate e-Power Kicks with the regular Kicks by a e-Power badge at the rear tailgate.
Under the hood sits the 1.2-litre HR12DE petrol engine which works with a 1.5 kWh battery. Nissan Kicks e-Power gets a combined power output of 129 PS. For the uninitiated, Nissan's e-power technology imitates the functioning of EVs i.e, the petrol engine acts as a generator that charges the electric motor, then the electric motor drives the wheels.
What not so interesting is that India spec Nissan Kicks will not be available with the e-Power technology. India spec Nissan Kicks will use a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine and a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine.
