Mahindra is testing the 2021 Mahindra Scorpio on the roads in camouflage. Based on the spy shots of the Scorpio 2021 Vipin Vathoopan from Cartorque India has designed a rendered. Here's how it looks
The 2021 Scorpio is expected to carry over the same BS6 complied 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine from the outgoing model. While some sources say, Mahindra can also introduce a turbo petrol engine with the 2021 Scorpio.
On looking at the render and the spy shots 2021 Scorpio looks bolder and aggressive than its predecessor. On the front, Mahindra's signature vertical slat grill is continued while the headlamps are all new with integrated DRLs, also the headlamps now merge directly with the grill, unlike its predecessor.
On the lower half of the front, there is an all-new bumper with rectangular fog lights, unlike the previous generation Scorpio which had round fog lights. The bumper is a dual-tone with a larger lower grille at the bottom. The Hood scope is continued from the previous generation Scorpio.
On the side, we can see larger alloys with metallic grey finish, However no confirmation for the larger alloys. Side profile of the 2021 Scorpio gets body lines inspired from the XUV500 and the XUV300, this makes the Scorpio look bolder.
Talking about the dimensions, the next-generation Scorpio will be longer and spacious than the outgoing model. Also, the 2021 Scorpio will have better ergonomics and an all-new interior.
In order to comply with the new pedestrian norms, Mahindra will redesign the front bumper and make it less prominent. Mahindra & Mahindra is likely to launch the next-generation Scorpio next year.
