Earlier we got information about the Nissan Kicks e-Power Thailand launch. We got to know that the e-Power technology will not be available with the India spec Nissan Kicks.


Now Nissan India has finally launched the Kicks with two Petrol Engines. To counter the sales of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the upcoming Toyota Urban Cruiser, Nissan has put the Kicks in 9 -15 Lakh price bracket.


The Nissan Kicks SUV is offered with two BS6 complied Petrol engines, a 1.5-Litre Naturally Aspirated Petrol Engine and a 1.3-Litre Turbocharged Petrol Engine. The Kicks starts to get a bunch of features right from the base variant onwards.

Nissan Kicks 2020 has got seven variants on offer and gets an HR13DDT engine which borrows cylinder coating from Nissan GT-R for enhanced performance and fuel efficiency and is capable of producing 156 PS of power and 245 Nm of torque, this makes Nissan Kicks the most powerful SUV in the segment. The Turbo engine also has Dual VVT system, which Nissan claims reduced emission and delivers higher torque at lower RPM.


Nissan Kicks CVT has a Nissan's X-Tronic system, this makes Nissan Kicks's CVT 40% more efficient than the regular CVT.


The 2020 Nissan Kicks is loaded with featured right from the base variant such as Auto AC, Nissan Connect with SmartWatch Connectivity, Cooled Glovebox, Electrically Adjustable ORVMs, Rear AC Vents and many more.


Safety features on Nissan Kicks include Vehicle Stability Management, ESP, Traction Control System, Hill Start Assist and Cruise Control. Dual Airbags are standard across the whole Nissan Kicks variant list.


Nissan was first launched in India in early 2019 but, it failed to compete with the rivals. Now, with an all-new power train, Nissan Kicks can take the sales of its rivals as Nissan Kicks is the most powerful SUV in the segment and is equipped with a hell lot of features right from the base variant itself. The main competitor of Nissan Kicks will be the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and the upcoming Toyota Urban Cruiser as both of them are offered only with a petrol engine.
